THINGS TO DO
An unassuming lake just 30 min West of San Antonio, Medina lake has an abundance of things to do, all accessible from the Rising Sun. Coupled with outdoor activities like Kayaking, Fishing and Boating there is plenty to explore.
Check out the nearby towns of Lakehills (2 mi), Pipe Creek (10 min), Helotes (15 mi) or Bandera (20 mi), and take a drive along the windy roads of the hill country to take in rolling hills filled with Oak and Cedar. If you like to hike or mountain bike, take off or launch from our lower lot or if fishing is your thing, stay with us and launch your boat at the nearby Bandera County park. (Check times for park hours)
KAYAKING
When the water's down, walk or drive down to the bank and launch your kayak and play in the crystal blue water.
FISHING
Fish from the banks. Medina lake is regularly stocked with largemouth and striped bass for recreational fishing. Local regulations apply.
HIKING
Enjoy the breeze along a .25 mile hiking trail starting at a pedestrian gate near our campground all the way to the water.
